Yes bob my test patch has been in the ground for 7 years the targets all are 1940 sixpences ,there are 6 starting at 6 inches going up in 3 inch stages ,so you have 6,9,12,15,18and21inches deep.
Putting the 19 over the targets I found that the 18 was a good signal the 21 witch I have never been able to pick up it was just a signal but if you working out in the field you may not get it regards john Very Happy

That's good to hear John.

How much does one sixpence weigh?
Have you checked this out with the 15" NF Evo Coil?
How would you compare the 15" coil to the 19" coils on the sixpence @ 18 inches?

I have not weighed a sixpence they were use 1940 so the silver content was the same in each coin
yes I have a spoked 15 evo
at this stage on 15 inch and 18 inch targets I was surprised that the 19 gave a good signal response, next week I intend to hit some old ground and see what it can do regards john

With the 15 just ground balance before you dig , I do the same with the 12,15 and 19, have not found any deep targets as yet the response on what I have found has been good.Deep targets is what I need to find to get a true idea on how the coil preforms regards john Very Happy

John have you checked if the 15" Evo could also hear the sixpence at 18 inches?

was hoping to get out to day with the 19 but after the thunder storms I think its going to be noisy, have not struck any deep targets as yet .
If you are not sure balance on the target or near the target if its still there dig you will soon find out if a target is there ,I have dug phantom signal ,positive there was a target there but nothing ,cleaned the hope ran a 8 mono over the spoils nothing that was with 14 mono ,we do get them from time to time regards john Very Happy

Been out a few times ,yesterday on some old ground the coil surprised me ,I picked up 4 shot gun pellets latter in the morning got another target down at 12 to 13 inches turned out to be a piece of steel
I feel this is a purpose built coil for gullies or making sure you have cleaned out any patches regards john Very Happy

bloody hell shot pellets affraid if they where small nuggys you whould have them cool T06 have ya had a crack at running deep on the front pannel ? i normally dont play with deep T08 but a mate loves it and never changes out, so i had a go with the 12" and bugger me if i diddent pull a 0.2 inbetween where i had got 2 other small nuggets using general timing i mean within 30cm if that and from memory it was a little deeper mabie 4" seems to work for me so i will give it a crack with the 15" soon and hit some ground where i have found gold before and see how we go cheers joe,

Joe I normally run in deep on the front switch with the 12 and the 15 evo ,I found that with the 19 I did not like it in deep but in general it was OK .I think a lot depends on the ground with a bigger coils covering more ground there for you may have several types of mineralized ground under the coil at once ,as I said these type coils are built for deep ground gullies and cleaning up patches regards john Very Happy

Evolution nugget finder 19 inch.(spoked)
Bought one of these coils not long ago, sold it not long after.
Runs quite smooth and quiet, until the sun comes up, then it's just erratic.
Biggest problem is the weight. It's NOT a coil you would want to swing all day.

From the reports I have seen so far on these high tech new coils, once you get past a certain size you don't hear a lot of rave reviews, such as the 18" elite and 19" evo. It appears that maybe the depth gains diminish with the larger coils, this is certainly not the case with the mid range size coils to smaller hi tech coils, I have been getting a solid 2" depth increase on those over oe coils of same size range, sometimes more depth increase than that.

im hearin ya man, first day yesterday saw no gold but I was impressed with the sensitivity on small junk targets around the 4-5 inch mark, it runs smooth with the rx at 18 to start stab at 13 even running normal and deep with the rx at 16 and stab at 12 was alittle noisy but quite usable lets see how today goes, cheers joe,
