Nugget Finder evolution coil tape?

G'day folks.
The evolution coils have a tapered edge which makes the standard coil tape like Tesa crinkle and unsightly.
This then traps dirt.
I have only recently taken the old tape off that needs replacing.
Is there a tape that is flexible enough to use that won't interfere with the coils performance.?

Hi Uncle BoB,
I've got the Nuggetfinder 17"x13" & I use NITTO Insulation tape . It is lead free & dosn't interfere with the coil.
You can buy it at Bunnings, About $10 for a pack of 5 rolls ( comes in a variety of colours ). I have used it since the SD 2100 days
with no problems .

Just found out that NF use the 3m super 88 tape.
Not cheap @ $20 a roll.
The detector shops should have them.
I think I might stick with the NITTO tape, it's a lot cheaper.

hey mate, I have had dramas keeping tape on as the design makes it hard, depends if your a scrubber or you airswing, I whould get about a month in before it needed replacing a bloody good coil just a bugger to keep tape on IMO Very Happy

I use Permatex sensor safe silicon. One application for the life of the skidplate. There are other brands.
