Nugget Finder evolution coil tape?
G'day folks.
The evolution coils have a tapered edge which makes the standard coil tape like Tesa crinkle and unsightly.
This then traps dirt.
I have only recently taken the old tape off that needs replacing.
Is there a tape that is flexible enough to use that won't interfere with the coils performance.?

Hi Uncle BoB,
I've got the Nuggetfinder 17"x13" & I use NITTO Insulation tape . It is lead free & dosn't interfere with the coil.
You can buy it at Bunnings, About $10 for a pack of 5 rolls ( comes in a variety of colours ). I have used it since the SD 2100 days
with no problems .
Cheers Charlie

Just found out that NF use the 3m super 88 tape.
Not cheap @ $20 a roll.
The detector shops should have them.
I think I might stick with the NITTO tape, it's a lot cheaper.

I use Permatex sensor safe silicon. One application for the life of the skidplate. There are other brands.

Ever since I started making my own skid plates I have never put tape on and it is not real often I even check to see if there is dirt in there

Evo coil tape
Try one layer of standard tape and then put the Nitto tape over the top.....stops it slipping off when the weather heats up.
