Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
The 900 is limited for star and planet pics at high zoom due to the small imaging chip. Result is that the planets look a tad blotchy and do not respond well to enlargement. For a hand held cam I guess it does ok. I have tried a few time lapse star trail & moon movies which are ok but I donot have a youtube account. Wish there was an easier way to place vids on the forum

Also have a Bay Leaf , a White heart cherry tree, A Plum tree and a Loquat tree, a struggling Tree fern and a humungous/ biggish Oleander
I like birds in the yard, that is why I have the trees but I get a bit grumpy when the bludgers try to defoliate them. Yellow tail black Cocky stew is looking good.

Re: Off Topic Nikon P900/1000
I have cut it back a few times coz it was attacking the power lines.
I have always thought it is a Blackwood Wattle but am not really sure, maybe a Golden wattle.

They are called Altostratus Mamma – Or Mammatus - The name ‘mamma’ comes from the hanging pouches of this altostratus species which resemble a woman’s mammary glands.

Poked his nose out from under his hidaway just now.
Tough little buggers. Gave him a bit of raw meat that he pounced on like a starving T-Rex Then parked in the sun for a warm up.
