GPZ Cig charge lead issues
Just referring to the supplied cigarette charge lead on 7000,
I have also found the same problem as others are experiencing, I believe the wire used is too light,
there for the charger cannot sense the correct voltage from the battery, and believe Minelab should be recalling this part.
You will find there is nothing wrong with your vehicles standard cigarette plug wiring.
An easy fix to this would be to shorten the lead on cigarette charge lead, but in doing so may void any warranty on this part.
Just wondering if anyone has brought this up to Minelab's attention ?
Cheers Mick

Re: GPZ Cig charge lead issues
Your theory makes sense.
Like I saisd in another post, my charger will work fine when there is no load on my brand new aux battery, but as soon as there is another appliance using it (like my engel) it doesn't like it and flashes red.
Anyone tried another lead? The plug type looks pretty common

As you said, the wires are not of the right capacity, but not the minelab wires, the wires in your car to your cig lighter.
A dedicated charging or auxiliary socket [ in car ] work fine.
In my Prado I have the same problem in my cig lighter.
However, all works fine in an dual auxiliary outlet I have installed at the rear of my car, running the fridge and the charger at the same time ,
which uses 6B&S, not some flimsy factory wire.
