Re: Coiltek 14" Elite Mono
I messaged the owner about the price , he told me if you contact direct ( bypass Ebay ) or over the counter you can get the coil for the $450.00, the extra cost is to cover Ebay , Paypal / credit card @ packaging fees . Cheers Bruce .

Re: Coiltek 14" Elite Mono
He says it in his listing to look at his webpage for a cheaper price, here is the direct link and it shows it for $450

Re: Coiltek 14" Elite Mono
I have found this coil can struggle ground balancing in very mineralized wash as it's so sensitive and needs dumbing down a fair bit. Where it seems to excel is in mild mineralized clays with no or little wash. This coil has been disappointing at some hot patches and amazing at others. Perhaps not the best all round coil but a great tool for certain areas.
This gold came off the middle of a surfaced area which I had gridded with the SDC2300 and 5k 12"mono and 18"mono and thought i'd got most of it. Most impressive dig was a very flat 0.4gram bit at 320mm.
Thankyou CoilTek!

Yes impressive a 0.4 gram piece at 12 1/2" with a 14" coil so I assume with the 5000 set in Fine Gold?
I wonder which one it is in your photo?

Hi WMG
Yep, Fine gold is best for small gold and most other settings maxed out. All though I must stay the ground is quiet enough to run in normal at times but I don't think you would get anywhere near that depth on hotter ground or a different shape.

Re: Coiltek 14" Elite Mono
With my GPX4500, I have observed that a careful ground balance is required with this coil when using enhance. Otherwise it's a great coil, just had to use a thicker bungy cord.

Re: Coiltek 14" Elite Mono
This is a half grammer I dug a few weeks back locally in the Sierras, ancient channel gold. Well worn smooth. Found with 14" Elite mono, gpx4000 set sensitive extra, gain 12, deep, slow, at about 4" depth. Uploader wasn't working for me so linked instead.

gold bug sniper wrote:Well, Coiltek's website shows a recently found 3 oz nugget at a depth of 23" with the Elite coil, as well as a couple more testimonials, a .5 gram at 250mm and a 1.4 gram at 300mm, also nuggets found down to .03 grams were recovered. The website showed the coil goes 2-3 inches deeper than a standard mono 14" round coil, then they changed it to 1-2 inches better depth recently.
This is good news for us poor folks that cannot afford the new GPZ7000!!! I think both me and my hunting partner are gonna give this new coil a go. It comes out April 27th.
I can fouche for a .5 gram slug at around the 250mm mark with the Coiltek Elite.
Good luck to you all out there & a very merry xmas & prosperous new year.
