Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
I would like to see a 8" round mono Elite coil manufactured soon, I would be a customer. Between a 8" and the current 14" I would be set for most hunting situations. I am sold on this new coil design after some testing and detecting with my new 14" Elite. Not so sure anything over a 14" would be usable at the weight this coil comes in at. The 14" gives me a workout. But I am not complaining.

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
We would all like to see the current line of coils replaced with the new offerings.....from both manufactures.
Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
More sizes are being developed as we speak.
If you could have three more sizes... What would they be?

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
I would say 10x5, 8" round, and 11" round

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
How about a coil that will pick up specimen type gold to make the gpx detectors more competitive and a detector that will be used for years to come.

That's a little more to do with the control box I think.
But a good idea!

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
A new 12x7 for "tight to get into" areas, which would also offer superb sensitivity on gram to sub gold and since you already have a good new generation of 14 inch round mono in play, something in the 18 to 20 inch class, round or elliptical, would just about cover the lot for the GPXs Trev.
Cheers Kon.

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
These are great suggestions all!
Looks like I need you all on my R&D team!
There are some limitations we have when winding this ELITE mono technique so some smaller sizes might not be possible
But never say never right!
Either way we have three new sizes in design and prototype phase so certainly exciting times ahead for greater opportunity with the SD, GP & GPX range...
I had a chance to swing one this week and it was very sensitive and stable. Found a 1.2g with it too! I hope the picture works..
Well it didn't. How do I upload via mobile

Re: Coiltek Elite Mono Coil Sizes
hey Trev, I don't know zip about electronics but have often wondered if you used silver wire electroplated with gold to stop corrosion if this might be an interesting test to do as silver is supposed to be the best conductor.

I'm with sporrow on this one. A 14" X 9" would be great so you came poke under bushes and between rocks and stuff. Also it would be great for pin pointing. I think it is equivalent to a 11" round.

Not sure how that will go as it may be too conductive and each strand needs to be insulated from each other.
I have often wondered about it too but haven't tried it .... Yet!
Maybe gold wire... But then people would buy the coils to break open for the gold;)
Cheers for the suggestion.

Hi Trev
You need to upload to a site like photobucket and then copy the link to your post.

I agree....a 14 x 9 an 18" & possibly a 12 x 7 & a 10 x 5....if that isn't getting too small for the " new" winding. Cheers
Best of luck out there
