Interesting Video with Jonathan and Steve making very positive statements. Jupiter creek where they tested the different machines is very high in EMI due to HV power lines close by. It is very difficult to run a 11" mono there, forget using a 15x12" mono, the 5000 detector will go nuts. Given these conditions it's imposible to compare a 5000 against a sd2300 or a 7000 that are designed to run in high EMI areas.

Where is is Jupiter Ck anyway?  V19 do you think that was just backdrop for film or the tests were done there, I imagine they would conduct much broader tests in varied locations, scenarios, etc.

Looking at the video I would think the detector would pick up the headphones on the bloke in the hole before the nugget ????
