Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
Is it just me or what??? but was there a definite target response from the GPZ on that slug at depth??? maybe I did not hear it cause he was still talking, would have been great if there was no other noise at the time to demonstrate the signal better, I do have a bit of industrial deafness so that could explain it.

I heard it too Lee, and if that's the case, bloody hell ! Look out goldfields.
If the reality matches the hype, I will be getting two of them, despite the rumoured ten grand price tag.
I noticed in the brochure that it appears to come with PRO‑SWING 45 harness with additional J‑strut, cross piece and GA 10 Guide Arm.
Cheers,
Rick

Hey Rick

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
I'm sure there will be a lot more videos before long that show things a lot better, that was just a little taste to wet the appetite, the super D coil looks to do the job and is out performing even a 20" mono, that's sure is a giant leap forward in my book.
It does clearly say in the info sheet it comes with the " PRO‑SWING 45 harness with additional J‑strut, cross piece and GA 10 Guide Arm" and also Software Updates via the xChange 2
cheers dave

Hi all, well the vid looks like it has the grunt i hope that gps can be turned off and can not track where you have been. As to me locations and im sure alot of others would agree is the hardest part of this game. Anyway just throwing it out there other wise i would have to get minelab to sign a nda from me when i send it in for a service or something that needs fixing im sure that along with many other questions will be answered soon.

Looks like the Wireless module has built in speaker also as well as the koss 30 headphones. They say you can have numerous modules hooked on for group training. Sounds very interesting.

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
How deep do you think that big nugget was, 3 feet...more?
How many ounces...20 at a guess?????
I WONDER IF THEY WILL BRING OUT A BIGGER COIL??

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
The nugget was 21 oz, not sure of the depth, there will be an 11" & 20" coil available (from the manual)

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
I would have suggested an 8" rather than an 11" if Bruce had asked me, but, he didn't.
Why, why, why, Bruce, was it something I said? Call me.
Better gaps would have been between an 8", 14" and 20". But I understand, you didn't want to p!ss off the SDC users who are stuck with the 8".

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
I would guess and say that 21 oz nugget was at a depth of 1 metre look like that on the ruler. Might be a better test if they had not made such a big hole underneath. I have dug many target using 15 x 12 at a metre sometimes over. But again depends on the soil conditions but l am here in Victoria where it can be highly mineralised. Will be interesting to read post when some of the guys on here who l trust more than guys on an ad . Time will tell.

Those Longitude and Latitude co-ordinates mean the nugget was found just above Kangaroo Island don't it. Anyone know how to read a map?

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
Lee's spot on with the video testing side.Your not deaf Lee,the actual testing was nonsense.
EMI is one thing, testing through high ground mineralization is another.
The only thing we could all see for certain, were the stats off their graphs.True depths stats as compared to the 5000 are missing.Ground type (low or high in mineralization is missing). 25% extra depth over the 5000 using a 15x12 mono over the 20oz slug,in what settings? Were both the 7000 & 5000 set in their factory pre-set modes to get these results?
The most important part,of any testing,is to be able to see the difference over the other in inches, set under similar factory pre-set modes/timings,using equivalent/type/size coils,or be able to hear a clear difference in signal strength over the other. All of which we did not see in this video.
Minelab,I say stop with the clever mushroom advertising/marketing and start giving us,some more appropriate conclusive testing hey?
Cheers Kon.

Hey Kon
Thanks mate I was starting to doubt what I thought I heard or didn't hear!
Yes you can prove or dis-prove what ever you want when conducting non- transparent testing.
NOT bagging minelab just the video posed more questions than it answered!!!!!!!

Re: GPZ-7000 intro Video
Wasnt a very good response on the 21 ounce, but then it was a 14 inch coil/
Ive neveer dug that deep, 1 metre, with my 3000.

Those coordinates are for Jupiter Creek reserve, even shows the sign to the reserve on the video, not to far out of Adelaide where they were doing that particular testing.
