Hi

i mostly look for gold so only have high frequency coils, the 3 kHz is not recommended on gold.

In trashy areas. The 18.75 kHz coiltek 6 inch is easily my prefered choice of coil for the x terra by miles. It has found match head sized gold in areas heavily gone over by GPX 5000s, ATX's and a whole host of other machines. It is also small enough to act as a pinpointer, so you may pay $300 for the coil. but save yourself $185 on a pinpointer.

If your after maximum depth the 15 inch WOT coil is the bee's knees on the minelab x terra. I use both, one to broad scan and identify. The other to pinpoint and dig.

The coiltek coils are better than anything minelab produce.

hope that helps.
