I would like to make an amplified external speaker for my x-terra, can anyone give me some pointers

Hi Tim,
I wouldn't worry about making one, just get your self one of these mini amp speakers for around $30. I know a couple of pro's that swear by them, I have used one for over 10 years. They are great when working next to heavy machinery, they are so loud they can blow your ears off Laughing Also wouldn't worry about a lot of the gimmicks out there like sound enhancers, signal enhancers blablabla Rolling Eyes
They run a 9 volt battery with a volume/switch control all you need to buy or make a patch lead with a 2.5mm plug at on end and what ever your detector has probably a 3.5mm audio jack.

Serch for Mini Audio Amplifier on ebay the seller is in the UK.

Gday guys - having been on the forum for a few months , i see either of you , or both own an Xterra? 705 ?
im yet to buy my first detector , but am very interested in a 705.
If you do have one , just wondering if you would be kind enough to pass on your opinion of it....?
