re TX 2002
I bought one of Ebay a month ago for about $45, its average, no good for gold OK for coins when real close, with 10 cent two inches down it struggles to find it. John

re Tx 2002
Thanks for that.Thought they might have been helpful to find small nuggets in dug hole heaps. If they are not sensitive enough then I will save my money and do the usual thing.

Coiltek are the only company in Australia that I know of who make a good gold pin pointer. Extremely sensitive on small gold and cost somewhere under $100 last time I saw one. Ring the Coiltek Gold Centre and ask them, they should have one in stock. 03 5460 4733.

TX2002
Thanks Granite.Coiltek Gold Centre do sell a Garrett Pro Pointer for $220 which they say is fairly sensitive.Has to be compared to disconnecting your coil and putting on a 10x5 and putting in down the hole which is Ok but a bit of messing around. In hard rock it can save a bit of hard work to know where the target is.Coiltek says it wont affect the 4500 electrically,so would be interested to hear from anyone using Garret Pro Pointer. Thanks

I have a garrett pinpointer, I ensure the coil on my 4000 is away from the hole when pinpointing, it can get noisy.

I hear good things about the falcon pointer, never tried one myself though.

G'day Gold Seeker I use the Garret pro pointer and have not had any problems with my 5000... It is pretty sensitive we have used it digging some deep nuggets in the cap rock here in WA... I recommend it anyday...
Cheers.
