Running in one channel, does it reduce battery usage?
Does running in either channel 1 or 2 affect how the detector (either on a 2000 or 2100) uses the battery system?

Not that I know of Shinegold, but running a Coiltek DD pro coil or inline signal Booster/enhancer,will chew about 10 to 20% more battery drain.
