GDA94 on Garmin Montana 650T???
Have been trying to find out if the Garmin Montana 650T supports GDA94. Have emailed Garmin twice....no reply, so phoned....they did not know!! Can you believe it? Garmin confirmed the Oregon series does. One would think someone would turn a unit on and see. Maybe that's a bit high tech.
Would appreciate if someone out there has a Montana 650T would reply. Yes I know GDA94 is almost the same as WGS84, but it makes life easier when filling out paperwork etc. Also if you have a Montana 650T are you happy with it......Pro's & Con's. with Thanks.....fishface

Re: GDA94 on Garmin Montana 650T???
Hi Fishface,
I just checked my Montana 650T and it does not have GDA94 listed.
As for the unit itself;a great piece of kit; large screen, fairly easy to get up to speed with its different menus with some practice, about twelve hours run-time from its fully charged internal battery, can be used as a street navigator with voice prompts when it is installed in the auto mount (recommended).
Teamed with Garmin Basecamp software (free download) on a PC or laptop you can do a lot of planning at home with two-way communication between the 650T and the computer via the supplied USB cable.
If you Google Montana 650T and Basecamp you will fine a swag of info and Utube videos that are quite helpful.
Hope the above is of use.
Cheers, AUoptimist.
