Hi everyone,

No doubt all the experienced members have moved on from this model to bigger and better ones, but I am hoping someone can help me with the following.

What I was hoping to achieve is the changing of the set-up to reflect the grid layout of the Tully maps so that I cross reference marked way points.

I have to say that when I purchased this thing, I had no knowledge of the seemingly endless range of options there are to pinpointing a specific location.

Sixty one and still learning!!!! Ah well, they say it never stops and I believe it.

Many thanks

I have had a "watch" on this topic to see how others have dealt with the "Tully offset", but obviously no one had anything to contribute. I am still wondering - so could you give me an idea how you solved it ?

Cheers - Phil

Hello Auger

Sadly, I have not found how to set up the GPS to reflect the specific grid pattern shown on the Tully Maps.

What I have done is set the GPS system to be compatable with Google Earth which enables me to determine a specific position on the landscape. I then transfer the position to the Tully maps by using the "guessimate method" crossreferencing specific fixed points.

This is by no means accurate (as I am sure you appreciate), but it is getting me by for now. I be staggered if there is not a correct method to acheive what needs to be done and I will continue to look for it.

I should say I am a novice at this stuff, but I am learning everyday.

If I get lucky Phil, I will post my findings on here.

Sorry I can't be more helpful Phil.

Bernie -

That's fine - thanks for replying. I also use a hard-copy "work around" at the moment. However, there has to be a simple/elegant solution to the "offset" for a completely electronic system etc ?

Cheers - Phil
