Koss earphone plug
Good day
My earphone's wires became disconnected from the plug and I would like to fix it. The problem is that which wire to connect where? Can anyone help?

Re: Koss earphone plug
I did not get any help from the forum, but I did phone Minelab and their reply is that the RED goes to the tip-end of the plug, WHITE to the "next ring" and BLACK is the earth!
Hope that this may be of some help for others that might experience the same problem.

G'day Kudu sorry you did not get any replies/help from the forum. I am sure if members had seen your post that some would have replied. Good to see you have sorted your problem and thanks for posting your findings.

Soldering the headphone cable
I have damaged the cable so cut the wires and then tried resoldering.
The wire has copper cable and a nylon core combined.
Could anyone give correct procedure to resoldering cable to new plug?
Cheers

Re: Koss earphone plug
Not sure what you're asking there krazycaptain. If it helps, when I encounter a wire that has nylon with the copper, I first hit it with a cigarette lighter to burn back the nylon and then solder the wire with my soldering gun like normal.
