GPZ14 against GPZ19 coil plug
Gid-day, I wonder if anyone can help me with a question? I seem to recall it has been mentioned before but a search yeilded ziltch.
Does the plug off a GPZ14 give slightly better results on crumbs using a small coil opposed to a plug off the dog.
Reg was right about mine, it truely is a dog as the ineffectual damping has it marginally ringing out past 12 microseconds. If I'd known this when I got it I'd have sent it back, certainly explains why it was always been a noisy old dust magnet.
Not sure if it's worth having 2 adaptors, one for larger coils and one for smaller.
Cheers
Kev.

Re: GPZ14 against GPZ19 coil plug
Good question Kev, but what small size coil are you referring to?
One would think it not though, for the chip in the plug end, were strictly used for the purpose of stopping/protecting other foreign coil manufacturers of producing or counterfeiting something similar for use on the GPZ 7000 & not for determining coil performance in way of gold size/depth. But again I don't know for sure

Thank you gents for the speedy replies.
Since the chip identifies the model of coil attached I suspected setting changes could be applied, which would have been a hassle having to have two adaptors on the go to get max performance.
Cheers
