Info For Newbie

Hi everyone
Looking for some info, I am new to the game and would really appreciate any help. I'd like to go prospecting in and around the goldfields area of WA, can anyone assist me on who I can get permission and a reasonable area where to go prospecting. I know prospecting areas are like fishing spots "highly top secret". But any info would be appreciated. Not looking at getting rich, just want a weekend hobby to spend time with my son (10). Please any info I'd be grateful

If your coming from overseas, I would sugest you do it in our winter time because it's damn hot in WA at this time of year.

You will need a WA miners right, obtained at the DMP in Kalgoorlie, Perth, and some other regional centers, they can show you areas you can go and areas you can't go to.
