Re: Ophir, sofala, hill end
I frequently find gold in all those locations
They are all good spots for detecting /sluicing
They all have good camping
spots
and over the years
Have all given up good gold
But out of all those places hill end has been the easiest place for me to find gold

Hi Jeff h
There's no secret
Spend time on the ground
Learn what your detector is saying
Learn the ground
And then patients , perseverance
Dig everything in one area,if you don't find gold
Dig everything next to the area that you just gave a thorough head down and bum up on
If you find a nugget or speci , take note of what colour soil /clay it was in
What rocks were there !
What the lay of the land was like
We're you in a gully or on a hill
As you get to wattle flat camping area sign
Take first left
You will have diggings on both sides of you
Plenty of gold left there , plenty of rubbish to
Good luck
You just have to beat everyone else out there now
Ps a lot of the ground is dd country with a sd
