Re: Maryborough Paddys Ranges Free Campsite
G'day Travis,
I think you will find you can only detect in certain areas in the Paddys ranges state park and where the camp ground is you are not allowed to detect. You should check this out at the parks Vic first here is a couple of links to check out.

Hope these help.

Hi Folks
i note that the last post was done a couple of years ago, just wondering if i could kindly ask about what the campground is like now, I'm considering being there mid winter with my caravan (just how this trip works out). What is the access like and surface gravely, muddy, mossy, etc? Appreciate any assistance.

Hi Roni
The track to there, should be fine.. they do get graded.
But if in doubt ring the parks.

Re: Maryborough Paddys Ranges Free Campsite
Hey Jen,
thanks for the speedy reply. It must be a crappy day so we've chosen to be online rather than outdoors.
Would you suggest that this area is suitable as a base for a week (being close to M'borough)? I have also contacted the C'park about accommodation there as well. Have a good one.
Cheers
Ron

Re: Maryborough Paddys Ranges Free Campsite
Hi Ron
Its a pretty little camp site.. been in there a few times.. ( not camped, just for a look )
the track in has always been ok.
all close to some good gold bearing ground..
well there use to be some good gold there.
And there are 2 caravan parks in Marybrough vic.
So you can do a bit of both camping.. if you like.
