Re: Paddys ranges state park
Hi geoff_junk
Thank you very much for your time and loading the map .
Last weekend i went detecting up their, and later in the afternoon,i tried to find the camp site ,but i must have missed the street along blacksmith gully road.
And it took me an extra hour to get home,a 21/2 hour drive back.

Re: Paddys ranges state park
G'day Hapalogh, best way in to the campsite at Paddy's Ranges is take the Old Avoca Rd. turnoff from the Pyrenees Hwy. then turn down Karri track..it's signposted for the campsite also.
A gps tracker is always part of my kit, wherever I go,so it would certainly help to have one on board.
Grab a John Tully map from Coiltek in Maryborough,it gives good details of all the tracks in Paddy's Ranges
Good Hunting...Dave

Re: Paddys ranges state park
Hi Sharkbait,
Thank you very much for the info for the map and directions ,also where to prospect their, would that be on the map or should I ask the ranger when I get their?
Because I heard that you cannot detect near the camp ground.
I might have to go through the workings of my gps again before I go their.

Re: Paddys ranges state park
Hapalogh,if you can get your hands on the John Tully 'Maryborough' map,it's marked with a blue line the area in which you're allowed to prospect.
You heard right about the campsite,it's in the no-go zone...you can ask a ranger if you see one.
Hope this helps

Hi Shark bait,
Thanks you very much for your info .
might go their tomorrow to coiltech Maryborough to get this map.
