google earth has a different waypoint setting to my lowrance. Empty google earth has a different waypoint setting to my lowrance.

Hi guys i have a cheap lowrance i finder go and i was trying to use google earth for waypoints but theres say for eg. 31.99657 lon 151.827093.
My lowrandce when i try to input it only goes 31. then it only goes up to 5 instead of 9?? can anybody understand what i am doing wrong or do i have to change my datum setting?
Please help as i am going hiking tomoz up to some old mines to try the streams near them.

I have the same datum settings as google earth so it cant be it?
I think i have it as it is just in degrese

In google earth select:-
tool
options
In 3D veiw select (Show Lat/Long)
Degrees,Minutes,Seconds

This should line google Earth with the settings you have on your GPS
