Re: google earth to disc?
I not sure how you would do that,
But I have increased my cache size in Google Earth Preferences so I can look at things out in the field that are in the cache after I am out of range of the net...... works ok for me.
I mark everything I want and have a look around the area in question then its all there when I have left the net and I open GE out in the sticks

Re: google earth to disc?
yeah I usually take my Lappy so I can use Ozi Explorer and mark spots on the maps, and attach Jpeg Pic's to markers on the maps as well.......... I find a laptop almost a necessity these days.... very handy.

Hallo Harp
......attach Jpeg Pic's to markers on the maps as well....
Can you elaborate on this. It sounds interesting but I don't know how to do it.
Thanks in advance

Re: google earth to disc?
Howdy all.
One quick way of getting Google images on disc is this.
Open up your area of interest on Google earth, under the View Tab, hit full screen, move your map about let it focus hone in on the area you want then push PrtScn = (print screen) on your keyboard.
Minimize Google earth, open up Paint, goto the Tab that says Edit and click Paste.
Play with it in paint till your a happy chappy then save it as whatever and to whatever drive you like and your done.

Hi Kudu,
When you find a place you want to attach a picture, say of your camp or something, place a waypoint marker , then right click on the little dot on the waypoint, not the yellow number box it and then click Create a map feature in the drop down box........ when you do that it will turn the waypoint blue..... then again right click the blue dot, and another drop down menu will appear, select properties...... in the properties drop down box you can attach an uploaded picture from you camera, by finding it in your files then in the file attachement drop down menu thingo...... find you picture, press save.
Then to look at the attached Picture, right click the little blue waypoint again and from the dropdown menu press "Open File attachement"
There is probably an easier way to do all that, but its the way I do it

Re: google earth to disc?
Oh yeah by the way, you can attach anything there.... Pictures , Video's , documents , google earth pictures even links to web sites...... handly feature when you are preparing a trip in advance....
I really like the feature to attach Pictures and HD Video, so you can look back at the memories

google earth to DVD
Hi, Fence Jumper, I have done the maps the way you want ie convert to dvd.
What I did was copy the google earth pictures, useing the link from Geof_Junk old mine sites, and moved them to Paint & save them, then import them to windows movie maker create a video save it, then make it as a save movie file then convert it to AVI and burn to DVD works really well, sound long winded but its quite easy the time consuming part is the copy image from google earth to Paint, once your on a roll it goes well.
