Ended at $502 They will be so disapointed when they compare it to other nuggets, if they have any.

Re: E-bay Gold weight be ware.
SO they spent 500 or so bucks on roughly 45 bucks worth of gold What th @&%$ can't these people read. Probably thought they got a bargain for what they thought was 650 bucks worth of gold

Re: E-bay Gold weight be ware.
Hi, I noticed him selling last night to. Shows a picture of nugget on scales with weight which you would assume is grams. I sent an ask question to him asking if it was a misprint or not that at end of his description it said grains.
His reply was "I'm the one that gets very upset because people just throw bids at my auctions just to undercut the decent people who have read the description of sale and looking to get it for a good price. all these inconsiderate bidders just assume that it's grams and they end up paying to much because they want to base it on what they think they are bidding on instead of what they actually are bidding on so good luck to them and grains are used in the gold market worldwide thank u godstrong11
My thoughts - I would tend to thing that he prehaps has some intention to decieve some bidders.

Yes you can tell by his reply he is genuinely sorry for the people that have bid to high by mistake.
If he felt that bad about it he would have said he contacted them and offered some money back to what it should have been worth.
cheers dave

Re: E-bay Gold weight be ware.
He could cancel the bids that exceed the actual worth of the gold. But I somehow doubt he would.

Re: E-bay Gold weight be ware.
His reply might cut close to the truth but now he has shot himself in the foot because he knows what is happening and is not doing anthing to fix the situation (Why should he, his listings are Ok). The problem is that inexperienced buyers as well as greedy experienced buyers are being stung big time in their hast to snaffle a bargain. The experienced get caught because they are so used to buying in oz and gms that they fail to read the listing closely and just assume the weights are in gms and then when they receive their piddlin bit of gold there is nothing they can do about it short of asking for a refund on the grounds that they did not receive the item they thought they were bidding on. They cannot claim that the nugget is under weight because it is the weight stated in the listing.
The seller is playing a game of entrappment, which is illegal if it can be proven and in this case I think that will be difficult.

Yep he's baaaaAaaaack.
Approx 50 bucks worth of gold in that listing.
It will be interesting watching his listings.

Re: E-bay Gold weight be ware.
I 100% agree except for the fact that he now is very aware that his listings are attracting high bids from less observant or astute indaviduals.
Listing a nug as 14gn will attract a higher bid than listing it at 0.003gm because the 14gn will be read as 14gm by some which means that he is aiming his listings at the unobsevant for the sole purpose of snagging an extra high bid but if the nug sells for the correct weight value then he has still made money.
These people are prepared to pay him a fair price for his gold at the weight that they think the nugget is (the bids do go high)but he is not prepared to list his nuggets in an unambiguous manner. Or in other words , he is counting on the Grains being missread as grams. If it were otherwise , he would list in grams.
On the other hand, there is absolutely nothing wrong with weighing sub gm nuggs in grains when it is clearly stated/indicated to be the case.
Hmmmmm, maybe I will try a few of my nugs listed in grains.
