Hi mickstarr,

Don't know much about GMT - however looking at its new cost you have purchased at a good price.

Good luck

The only people who cannot find gold with the GMT are ML Operators Laughing They have been spoilt rotten by detectors that trained monkeys can find gold with and as a result they have lost the art of true skilfull metal detecting Razz HEH,HEH,HEH..........OHHH I jus hate myself when I do this Cool

Hope you'll do well Mickstarr, I don't think
Tassie has seen many PI Detectors yet....?
and with the sensitivity of the Whites you
can't go wrong.
Show us some photos of Tassie gold...
cheers

I have a mate that has a Gold Bug 2, bought it used, never could understand how to operate as he had no instructions. I used my phone to access google and found a pdf manual for it in about a minute. I told him the GB2 is rated as the best fine gold detector for Alaska but takes some skill to learn the balance and disc.
I told him about my Whites GMT with the auto balance feature and he was totally blown aware at how easy it was to just turn on and go with the GMT.

Yeah you got that at a great price, they sell new in Alaska for about $750, I guess in Oz that translates to around $1000 or so. Its a great VLF detector at 48 khz, keep that in mind when shopping for coils, they have to be the 50khz variety. They say you can get 40 hours off the 8 AA batteries using headphones.

whites gmt goldmaster Empty the weight

Post  starry Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:47 am

the piece weighed in at just over half a gram and was found in a out of the way place , and just remember we have a couple more spots to try 2 old mining leases that are still under lease that we are in negotiations about at the moment plus some private property that we are also looking into that an old friend has bought that he wants us to prospect for him and over the years this area has produced up to 15 oz but has not been worked much at all and being private we can use more gear than we do now , here,s hoping all goes well in next 12 months as weather will be setting in soon Very Happy

in his grave, seeing this pic.
It just goes to show that research pays.
Hope you're onto more.
