Respectable Year was 2011

Hi Fella's,

In a follow on from lkyphl's Topic.."How did you go in 2011 ?" Thread

Here is my modest haul for the Year 2011. The lose stuff is 28.7g. The 2 specimens are I guess around 1.0 to 2.0g

Well I'm impressed, the all add up don't they.

I will try to do the same with mine when a get a good Macro camera or lens.

You are so right, for me it's not always the value of the gold. My first full year of detecting with the 4500 has given me new friend, new parts of Victoria to explore, Great camp site and most of all many days out with my family. I feel this far exceed any value of gold that I might have found or hope to find here in Vic

Nice piccy Paul lot of dig holes for that lot, nice collection, now get the brand new big coil from your car boot and stick it on the stem and double that weight this year

Great haul there Ararat and very nicely displayed. Many hours of fun collecting all those I bet...

Good one Paul.Nice show of nuggets & species.Paul,persevering and sticking with the 16 inch round mono will not only give you a lot more ground coverage per swing,but also a chance at the bigger slugs which might be just out of reach for the smaller coils.Expect some fruitless days,on the smaller stuff,but I can assure you the weight ratio will more than double on those single deeper finds. Peter your spot on there mate. Going out and enjoying the prospecting experiences with darn good company far exceeds any value of gold found.

Nice collection of gold there Ararat, nice clear pic and very well displayed, and like you say, half of the fun is in the finds and the rest is with the friends that you make along the way.
