Gold Thieves?

I was trying to get a photo of some really fine gold but couldn't get the clarity, so I let the gold dry out trying to get a better shot. Next day around lunch time I looked in the pan, and thought I'm sure there was more there yesterday? I sat looking at my gold pan in disbelief, I was shell shocked at what was happening, Dam flies where sucking on it like there was no tomorrow their feet working as gold glue pads as well!
The old fly trap could well turn into a golden idea?

A heap of fly traps might just get ya gold back, but ya would have to cut off thier feet and then pan the contents again

Who would've ever have thought ay!! and they said that you wouldn't hurt a fly.

Sounds abit like when I caught my first land based shark a couple of years ago, I kept the jaws as I was going to bleach and mount them, so I sat them out with a bucket on top and bricks on the bucket, thinking the ants will clean them up nicely....Not thinking that my german shephard would clean them up first...would've been a nasty meal

Land based Sharks, thats even more scary! I always said to our kids when they where swimming in the river "Watch out for that SHARK" I'll have to think twice now
Half hour ago, my wife shows me her hand and says, whats this cr#p? Her hand was covered with gold specs after wiping the small table next to my gold pan! So obviously when the fly's do their foot shuffling wing twitching cleaning episode, it all comes off? Now I just gotta pan their poop

Just to make this bit clearer, I was on terra firma, not the shark everyone knows thats only dolphins that do that.

how are ya goin with those flies? maybe get some frogs, thier golden waste then might be easier to pan off.

I was just having a dig Goldstalker . Spent many many hours paraveining of pears, ballooning from high rock ledges, then got into boating, so out the window those methods went!
As for the flies being a golden idea, I was leaning more to setting up fly traps in known gold bearing areas
P.s the frogs could work, then snakes, Hey how about Eagles!
