3000 setting low mineralisation Empty 3000 setting low mineralisation

Hi. I have a 3000 with the standard coil and am going to detect in the hills around Briagolong (Sale, Gippsland.) The soil doesn't seem highly mineralised so I was thinking of using these settings- all metal, mono, deep (except when on a ridge) and signal about 5 O'clock. There was gold there in the rivers and apparently the source was found ('Boyce's Find') but I'm thinking it would be good practice to sniff around there anyway.
Any advice as to settings much appreciated.

i assume your using a mono coil.

run your signal around the 80% mark.

Ta.
Nope, just the standard DD- I saw that you can use this on mono setting for small gold when not on hot ground...? Neutral
I had been running with signal on 12 O'clock dammit.

Hi kilter
Try the "sensitive" setting with " mono" if the mineratisation will allow it.
This will give a better signal on the small bits , with a small loss of depth on the biggies ,
on my Extream this is quieter than the " normal" timing . ( this is with a 16" Mono coil )
Good luck !

I like sens, mono, deep, 3/4 signal and high pitch tone for the quiet ground (standard dd coil) I found a .22 bullet at 14" with these settings. I find I have to use normal, dd mode, deep with my 17" NF eliptical or it gets to much noise. (gp3000).
