MY SLUICE HOPPER UPDATE
HI all just would like to say thankyou to the members that put me in the right direction and gave me all the advice much apreciated well here is my hopper improvement thanks to james 101 hopper plans i hope iv done it right please coment i know the hopper is still high and my backs going to pay maybe i could do that next

looking good mate... the only thing i can pick is where the hopper is joining up to the sluice there's a little gap each side. you don't wont to lose any dirt that could have gold in it..
i see you have the rib matting up over one side...

there are other spots that pump will overflow but have a go and fix as needed --well done

Andywho.
Mate your on the right track, just a few little pointers. Mate your having a go and when you pick your first bit of gold out of your unit ….. Well there are no words that will describe how you will feel. Good luck. cheers
1. Mate cut and bend that deflection plate in a downwards direction. It is by far to long and flat.
2. Fill in the sides or your wash will blow out at that point.
3. Move your legs back this will lower the hopper and give it extra strength.
4. The first section must slip into your bottom sluice section, with higher sides this will stop the wash spilling over them.

well done James --I wish i could do that with the lines and things it makes it so easy to describe what ya want to -- lol ahhh a pic is worth a thousand words !! Andy what James has shown you here is where you would have problems so a "well done " to James for his thoughts !! now get out there and try it out Andy !!!

Spot on Murachu How easy to explain when someone knows how to use their computer! As you suggested, get out there and use it, only then will things make sense.
