Tibooburra maps
I posted this request in the Information on Goldfields section, but it hasn't raised much comment. So I'll give it a go here. Planning a trip to Tib and Malparinka next year and looking for good maps of the area. Specifically showing where I can and cannot prospect. Crown Land, stations etc. Where can I get these ? Also what permits/permissions would I need to get.
Thanks in Advance

Re: Tibooburra maps
Ive been out there a cuppla times, I also went through the process some years ago of applying for an opal licence at Whitecliffs.
It also helps to have a son who works for a company that regularly have to go through the whole process of dealing with the NSW government in their course of business.
Edit:
I must admit the maps are very good, and all free to download.

Re: Tibooburra maps
Panhead,
At Mt Browne you don't need to go and pay at Milparinka. Charlie, the property owner, comes through every day looking for people who have not paid. He is not quite as enthusiastic about getting rid of the rubbish or keeping up the water supply for the toilets though.
A gent is working a lease on the right of the road in, before you get to the woolshed (well signposted) - this is out of bounds to detectors. Apart from that spot, you can detect anywhere at Mt Browne.
Jigalong.
