Torch batteries.
I recently purchased some good led torches on line, they came with UltraFire 18650 Li-Ion batteries, one of the batteries was dead on arrival.
For me to send the battery back was going to cost around $3 for postage.
I got on to Ebay and found the very same battery with the same spelling mistakes for $4 for two with free postage.

The same battery from the place I bought the torches from are $15... affraid

I have a couple of LED torches that use these batteries, they are very good, I buy my spares that come with a charger for around $10.
Can't go wrong, no need to charge often and the 300 lumen headlamp and the 900 lumen torches are great!

I got the Nitecore Infilux IFE2 from here.
https://www.ledtorchshop.com.au/brand/nitecore

Buy the batteries of ebay they are 1/10th the price.

A charger off ebay is cheaper too.

I bought some cheap torches off ebay to start with but they were rubbish and I sent them back for a refund.

Hi Guys,

Watch out for the cheap Chinese battery's. Some of them are 2nd hand, just re wrapped to make them look new.

If you want some REAL good quality ones, spend a bit extra and get some of these.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/6-x-Panasonic-NCR18650A-NCR18650-18650-3100-mAh-Battery-/280749719396?pt=AU_Electronics_Batteries_Chargers&hash=item415dfcbf64

Or these,
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2x-Sanyo-UR18650F-2600-mAh-18650-Lithium-Li-Ion-battery-/280730026102?pt=AU_Electronics_Batteries_Chargers&hash=item415cd04076

These support 1 hr fast charging too. Would make excellent battery's for detectors too, however you would need to get a holder as they have no solder tabs.

Cheers Mick

My daughters Li Ion camera battery died last week and Battery Factory quoted me near enough to 50 bucks for a new one and also 50 bucks for a charger.
Found a charger plus two spare batteries for 9.99 total on Fleabay.(look the same as the real deal)
Going to be interesting to see if any of these items actually work. bounce

How do you pick an LiIon batt from a NiMh battery if they are both presented as Li Ion but one is NiMh in wolfs clothing??

If getting li-ion batteries for torch/single use -get protected cells.

There is a simple protection circuit inbuilt under the covering which stops the battery from getting totally discharged (bad damage otherwise)

These have had numerous tests and are very good - with a true capacity. The ones that state 3000mAh are a bit of a joke.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-UltraFire-18650-2400mAh-3-7V-Rechargeable-Battery-Colorful-w-Protection-Board-/280750146072?pt=UK_ConsumerElectronics_Batteries_SM&hash=item415e034218

The chargers aren't too bad that you linked - though a RC charger would be better.
