Cleaning Nugget

I am a bit scared to put this 5oz nugget in acid, so do you think an ultrasonic cleaner would be effective? By the way, I dont want to remove the ironstone so much as the baked on mudlike material. cheers Pete.

mate the ultra sonic will take that cement of the gold bit by bit, take it easy and just give it a tooth brush
between each run in the ultrasonic, just before youre done drop it it in "ali-brite" for 1 day only, to give the gold
a great gleaming colour..... works for me man...

Dont forget to pan the residue

soak in water with dishwashing liquid and clean with a toothbrush
