Re: do you own a xterra 705 gold???
Hi shangers I own a 705. Reckon its a great machine but am at the point of needing to go out with an experienced guide to point me in the right direction of what type of ground to be covering.
While I have only found a little lonely piece of the "yella" I have enjoyed using it and have found some other cool stuff including: a mans stainless steel ring, a brooch, a musket ball (i think), an 1835 sixpence, a few files and other mining related objects and heaps and heaps of lead, tiny bits of wire and plenty of rusted metal
Heres a link to a post with some photos of said yellow and coin : https://golddetecting.forumotion.net/t4046-x-terra-705-anyone-found-anything
Another link to a very informative site : http://www.findmall.com/
Hope this helps mate and best of luck with it all. What a great hobby

Re: do you own a xterra 705 gold???
Hey people I just bought a X-Terra 705 Dual Pack got home unpacked it & now its pouring rain so here I am checking out the forums for tips n clues.
I tried to register on the members on the minelab site but there was a glitch with when I enter my state it enters it ok then the word state stays red. I finish the postcode & press submit then it keeps coming up with
incorrect data in state area even tho I click on the down arrow & select it from their list
has anyone else had this problem ????
I can't wait for a decent day to get out & scan.
Cheers all have a great night I know I wont as I am too excited to go & play.....hahaha

Re: do you own a xterra 705 gold???
Had a few sunny days since my last post & the 705 is working great found heaps of current coins
A 1941 penny
A 1929 half penny
Another penny very unreadable but you can make out the word penny on it
the usual aluminium ring pulls & crushed cans
Found an old site that used to be a railway station back before 1930 thats where my pennys came from
also heaps of old hinges Big nails shaped like track pins but smaller than pins.
I have also just researched where there was about 8 other stations also closed around 1940's so when time permitts lookout thats where I'll be...
Cheers Tony
