4500 on gumtree

Hiya yall.

4500 on gumtree for $3300...Scam or bargain?

This seems to good to be true (no phone number), and as I can't afford it I'll see if anyone wants to do the leg work and find out about the seller and item...

I have to say that that is bloody cheap! Detector, 4 coils and accessories for $3300, it does seem a bit ....

But I guess if a member was looking to buy it, the serial No. is in the ad so a quick call to minelab and Crimestoppers to make sure that it's all above board and give a little piece of mind, then cash on pick up to confirm serial No. etc.

It's a red hot deal.

There was a 4500 on G/T about two weeks ago for $2300,I emailed asking for Serial No. and to go and inspect it,his reply was he had now moved to the UK and i could still do the deal through some broker in Melbourne.I replied by calling him a ripoff or words of that affect,He never answered back.
Over the last 6 or 8 weeks i replied to two 4WD's on G/T the first one had moved to Darwin but said i could send him the money and he would send the 4WD to me on a army truck.___Yer that sounded like a good deal...NOT
The second had just moved to Perth,same story,he said send money and he would pay the freight.___Another great story
I dont know if some poor bastards fall for these Mongrels and send their $$$$ or not but i would be wanting to see the item before paying for anything off GUMTREE.
