Gold prospecting around Mt Isa qld.

Good Afternoon everybody

I'm heading of to Mt Isa for 4 weeks at the end of this month and am wondering if its worth taking the detector with me.

I have had a bit of a search on the net but nothing came up.

Any help would be appreciated.

About the closest spot to the Isa where you could find coarse gold and you would have to be extremely lucky is around Cloncurry. Apart from that, Forsyth and Georgetown are your best bets.

I dont understand this, arent you always extremly lucky to find gold ?
