SD 2000 - Best voltage Empty SD 2000 - Best voltage

I run an SD 2200 with a lithium-iron battery/booster. It is a Lucky Lark from Reeds. The 12v battery is regulated down to 7.3 volt. (originally 6.0 volts??) What effect does increasing or decreasing this voltage have - is there a maximum that should not be excedded?

Thanks B-T

7.3v is the sweet spot!
Any higher and things get noisy.

I recently purchased one of the CoilTek 7.3V regulated battery systems and was very impressed with how small and light weight it is compared to the original 6V battery. I am using a new SD2200v2 and would love to know how many others are using this 7.3V system successfully? In more noisy ground would it be best to switch the switch back to 6.7V? to smooth out the threshold
cheers
Tim.

UP to you Tim, but all the SD's seem to work well at 7.3v.

Yeah it seemed to run well the one time I did use it, I hope I can use my new coiltek goldstalker 18" mono down in Victoria with this new battery system, I know its going to be tough going sometimes but thats when I swap to the 17" dd..
Very Happy

Thanks folks,
At 7.3 it can be a bit noisy in hot ground using a 14" mono - but the signals still punch through if you pay attention - even very tiny bits.
Cheers B-T
