Absolutely not! No, I used a cardboard cut-out. The leaves on the ground are those blown there by the wind and is purely co-incidental.
and its NOT a 2 stroke !!Yeah, had a bloke constantly complaining to me about the noise, didn't bother me, I had ear-phones on.

Thank you James for a very informative and helpful post, and the detailed plans to make a banjo it myself.
Thanks to all the other contributors for the info they added that caused James to contribute even more detail.
All I've got to do now is to make one!

Thanks for your kind words, Yep there easy to make no special tools required. Just a jig saw with a metal cutting blade, tin snips & a drill. Any metal shop will press them out for you the material should be .97mm to 1.2mm thick anything under will not be strong enough anything over will be to hard to work with unless you have a good work shop. I am not on line much these days it’s that time of the year but if you have any questions I will get around to answering them but it may take some time.
