Where to test a new GPX5000

Having just recently bought a 5000 I was wondering where to do a bit of testing/playing with my new toy.
I was told from the shop where I bought it that you need to be about 500m from any emi source so beaches here in Perth are out of the question.
The garden would be out of the equasion too as I live in a fairly built up area.
Was hoping to do a bit of testing with the coils etc to see about trying different settings.
Do I need to drive out to the countryside to do any field testing????

Fit your DD coil and run it in cancel modeand you will be able to use it on the beach
and at your local footy grounds/parks etc.

Through my own personal experience with a GPX5000. The best place to test it would be at Minelab?

Then why didn't you send your detector to them?
