Re: New Security Information - Coiltek Products
IiG (Is It Genuine) certificate with each coil we manufacture. These are shipped with the product to you.
Do these have to be verified before purchase to be covered, or is there a time limit that it needs to be checked before you are covered. Certificate have been forged by the wrong people.

After reading your site it appears as it has to be verified before purchase.
Before you purchase an item, you can check if it's genuine by using this web site and the Certificate ID Key.
If the certificate is Valid , you can have peace of mind knowing that this product was definitely produced or distributed by a genuine source.
You can also use this service pre-purchase to determine that a product is genuine before purchasing. This can be done by asking a distributor or seller to provide a sub-certificate. This sub certificate allows you to validate that a distributor has a product in stock that contains a valid IiG certificate. If they cannot provide the IiG certificate, its likely they do not have the product they are claiming to have.

Re: New Security Information - Coiltek Products
Hi Geof,
The certificates do not need to be registered before purchase.
When you enter your details to claim a certificate you need to also enter a purchase date.
I hope this helps.
Thanks
Trevor

Re: New Security Information - Coiltek Products
Hi Uncle Bob,
We are backdating coils purchased to the start of February 2011. Any coil purchase before that date will not be allocated a certificate. As you can imagine, it would be too big of a job to issue certifctaes for all our coils out in the field.
We feel that this is close enough to the start of the warranty period for customers as the warranty starts from the date they purchase the product from a registered dealer.
If you have bought a coil after Feb 1st 2011 you can contact us to be issued a certificate.
Thanks
Trevor
