Doc from DOC's Metal Detecting Supplies is in the Sudan at the moment and has posted a video of one of there goldfields.

Interesting geology - Looks like ancient ground and very very dry affraid

Most of the desolation in the middle east and a good part of southern europe was originally caused by man, followed by goats. The men cut down all the trees and the goats then ate anything green that poked its head above the surface. And we have huge numbers of goats in the outback. Good thing no one is wanting to detect Afganistan. Those buggers have been fighting each other since the dawn of time. The amount of old swords spears, musket balls, guns, tanks, shells and landmines would test the discriminatation abilities of even the infinium. santa
