Re: Biggest Bit
My biggest bits found with a GPX7000 using the SSFG (super super fine gold) timing. The GPX7000 has incrementally improved on the (SFG) super fine gold timing of the 6000.

I recon you would have a huge head if ya found one like that and you would have to be built like the HULK to hold it the way he is.

Jeez Nuggetmeister you look a bit like Elvis Presley, just before he died. That is one hell of a Nugget you're nursing there, looks like you're in a league of you own. Can you tell us more details?

Re: Biggest Bit
Specimen of quartz laced with 7oz of gold. This was a sunbaker on a puddler in Bluchers Gully Maryborough, found with a Garret Deepseeker in 1980 or 81 in their heyday. This whole gully was excavated in the late 80's or early 90's I think. Have found plenty of 1oz plus pieces since, including a couple this year with a 3500, but just can't seem to crack the 10oz club. Nice finds with the 45 Tributer, congratulations and thanks for the pics.

Hi All
The photo of the guy/me holding that large nugget was taken in Sydney many years a go, so many that I cannot remember the year or the exact shop,it was either at Parramatta or Granville as the owners changed shops about the same time.
I do know that one of the people now has passed on and the other must be getting on to a ripe old age, both were very nice people.
The one that died at the age of 44 was the handiest person that I have ever met, he use to build dredges to order and they were magnificent, they floated on 2 pontoons about 8 foot long and 2 foot square, were run by a 11 hp motor, hooker gear was also set up to work underwater (they were the days).
As the statue of limitation has not expired on the secret of the nugget I am bound not to reveal any more, I never did get the original copy of the photo and would still like to if I could Nugget Meister would you like to give me a PM Please.
I have out grown and got rid of the shirt but I still have some of the $50 notes I still would have the strength to hold up the nugget although it was heavy, and the hair is now very grey and not as much there.
Happy hunting
Life is nothing with out a dream
