Check out my feedback mate, Im sunbaker_nuggets on eBay, I now put a "buy it now" price on gold for $90per gram and i start an auction at 99 cents. works every time!! getting good prices on anything under 4 grams. I keep the rest for a Sydney buyer who only wants bigger stuff. eBay is the way to go, heaps of buyers, good prices, well worth it

Hi buzzdog, We have just sold to P W Becks in adelaide. Was WA gold and it asayed at
Gold 83.96% $55.7445/g
Silver 11.87% $1.1225/g
We did have a buyer from victoria who offered us gold price minus 10% so that would have been a good deal
Either way it will only be going up with the world economy the way it is. For us we cashed some in instead of getting a loan for house improvements. Thats what we found it for and is also a much loved hobby and we enjoy it out bush
Cheers and good swinging

Evening Travelergold,
Thanks heaps for getting back to us, I haven't found any gold yet, so maybe asking the question is a bit of wishfull thinking? Might be a bit of a newbie question, but was wondering how they determine the % of gold?
My reasoning behind the whole gold fossicking thing is much the same as yours, a much loved hobby and enjoy being out bush. My interest in exotic minerals started off with gemstones, which has eventuated into Gold, what with being based in Katherine NT, just south of the pine creek gold fields.
Again thanks for getting back to us and I hope I can post here again with some luck of my own.

Cheers

Yes Ebay does get you good money, been there and done that. Very time consuming if you have a lot to sell. The smaller the lot sold the more per gram you sell for. we tried various ways and times / days to finish. Single bits under .8 gram with a combined postage charge and we found $ per gram the top sell and finishing on thursday or sunday evenings best results.
Then you also have all the questions from wannabe mebe lookers and just general interest and then guys that you hear nothing from once they bid and win.
Yes we got top $$$$ for all sold on ebay, horses for courses they say
Keep on swinging
