Back in the Game

Hi,

Its been almost 2 years since I have had the chance to detect. I have just obtained some Crown Land fossicking permits, two of the blocks were previously "No Go Zones" so I was quite pleased when the Dept gave me a permit. That said, soon as My wife and I got out to one of the blocks we noticed hundreds of recent unfilled holes and lots of rubbish left. It is sad to see, no wonder it is harder to get on land for detecting. This type of lazyness will eventually kill detecting as a hobby for everyone

On a good note, I found this inbetween the unfilled holes and rubbish.

Nice bit of gold there Oldfella, well done.  I'd like to believe that most detectorists do the right thing whilst detecting out bush, shame for the hand full few careless imbeciles out there, all of us detectorists end up paying the final price.  It takes so little to backfill ones holes.
