Back from WA
Hi all
I haven't had many chances to look for gold over the last 12 months but just got back from a 3 month trip to WA. The gold would come to around an oz all up including the speccies. That's less than a quarter of what I got last trip over in 2017. But that's the way it goes. Lots more people around this year.

Re: Back from WA
Nice stuff detectist,1 ounce helps with the fuel bill, and the 3 month away is what I call a great holiday, gold is the bonus.
memories are the biggest winner, they'll stay with you long after the gold has gone.

Thanks for your comments guys.
Always enjoyable out in the bush. We free camped a fair bit and enjoyed it greatly.
The flies were bad but when we were at camp we had the company of a willy wagtail which enjoyed us bringing the flies to a smaller area.
The weather was superb, only one iced window this trip while back at home, and despite it being the warmest July for a long time, it was still quite cold. We were far enough north of Laverton not to be impacted by rain but we had to have quick trips in and out for supplies and showers in case one or more of the floodways and creeks were affected by rain.

Re: Back from WA
Nice going & well done to you Detectist. It is not always the amount of gold one finds as being priceless, as much as it is, living the dream & experiencing the adventure. That in itself is priceless.
Cheers Kon.

Re: Back from WA
Detectist, Nice finds, many go home with a lot less than that.
Born and bred West Aussie here and have gone nearly two weeks between gold at times while my partner is picking up gold every day. Then who knows why the role reverses.
