Buy An EV Or Invest In Uranium Shares?? Empty Buy An EV Or Invest In Uranium Shares??

Hmmmmm? Should I purchase an EV or invest the money in Uranium Shares??.

Nuclear Power is going to happen in Australia eventually because wind , solar and batteries can not cope with what is going to be a huge increase in demand for electricity....Due to our immigration policies being ludicrous.
Triple our hydro electricity generating capability.
Uranium share price is low at the moment so dig deep and buy some shares, Buy big for the future of our kids. You may not profit from them but your kids will.

As for electric cars (Change of topic)

In Australia these ev's are good for round town driving, dropping the kids off to school and going to pick up the groceries... Try touring in one here over our long distances between cities will find you stranded on a highway or bush road with a flat battery. That will be fun.

I had a close look at a nice looking Tesla EV on display in a shopping centre here, The bonnet and boot lid was up. There was no sign of an engine Laughing
The instrument panel was a laptop monitor stuck in the middle of the dash panel that the driver has to take his/ her eyes away from the road to see what is on display...Totally stupid and dangerous. On the other hand what instruments do you need in an Ev?? Charge meter, Voltmeter and a speedo. The car itself was nothing but a shell with a battery and kitchy elec motor...The car looked like a brick on wheels and totally non aerodynamic .Fair price would be 15 grand , not the asking 67,000 au dollars.

You would reckon that they would build these cars such that they would slip through the air- stream with ease but no they are like a monster mini suv.
With all lights on and the aircon running you are not going to get much more than a couple of hundred clicks out of one of these EV's between recharges.

{ Leaving your dog in the car on hot days }Apparently people have to put signs on their parked EV's stating that the air conditioner is running and that the dog inside is ok.

I guess the air con has to be a reverse cycle type in order to obtain heating on cold days,,,Not much heat generated in an elec motor although the battery gets stinking hot during those rapid recharges.
EV's; Golf buggies with some almost comfortable seats. Rolling Eyes

Looked at 2 EVs and one Hybrid today.
The EVs are seriously big, ugly and as aerodynamic as a brick.
The sales person said he is staying with his V 8.

There are supposedly approx 2 million of these Evs on the roads in Australia today; That is a lot of people wishing they had left them alone while at the same time pretending to like them. Of course if all they are doing is driving the kids to school or doing just 80 km per day then maybe they are partially satisfied. Rolling Eyes
These vehicles require external electricity to recharge and the price of electricity is set to skyrocket as we change over to solar and wind power.....which I might add , will never ever be able to keep up with supply and demand.

The Hybrid looked ok and had good battery assisted distance capability and can achieve up to 900 km on a tank of juice. Not a bad looking vehicle although still looked a bit like a brick on wheels but much better value for money than the EVs

If I ditch the Corolla a Hybrid is looking good as my next car.

A record renewable energy output in Australia made up almost 40 per cent of supply in the last quarter and pushed coal-fired generation output to record low levels. Average wholesale prices slumped 41 per cent to $63 a megawatt hour in the three months to September 30 compared with the previous quarter.

The supply of solar wind and battery power has to be profitable, otherwise it's a no go show. For sure these producers will be listed on the share market (coz they are not viable otherwise) which means investors and they will want dividends and so the price of supply will go up drastically.....Always happens

Looked at another EV a couple of days ago, different make than the first two.
Still bricks on wheels and both agents said that the cars are not suited to Australian driving habits and the average distances Aussies travel.
and that interest and sales is low.
Both agreed that the Hybrids are far better suited to our long distance driving habits. There were three cars on display, a Hybrid, a Turbo and an EV. The hybrid was attracting a lot of interest.
