Re: need the right settings
Depends what you are looking for Vlad.
You can do an AIR test to give you a rough idea what the coil will pick up.[Place objects on the ground and wave the coil over them at varying heights]
You may be able to run your machine in normal which will give you a lot more depth, here in OZ we a constrained by very hot mineralized ground.
My advice would be just experiment, try enhance/deep with an Rx of 16,the bigger the target the more depth you'll get.
Try a few google searches.

hiluxer and Vladislav like this post
Re: need the right settings
Unfortunately, the tests in the air and the ground are different. I just thought it can be for a large coil there are special settings.

Re: need the right settings
Vladislav happy to help but very important to let us know what you are using it for and the type of ground you are searching. Is there much trash?Do you have a picture of the location or ground?

Trash a little. Search for relics. The soil is light.

Re: need the right settings
I think the easiest thing to do Vlad is to make your own test holes using poly pipe or just buried targets, just experiment.
Do a google search for test holes for metal detecting
You can try different settings that suit your soil.
good luck mate.

Are you looking for large deeper target of high conductivity,or maybe smaller like coins etc.The GPX is very sensitive so your requirement will be to operate quietly.Sometimes nearby power lines or towns/cities may cause interference (EMI) so this would determine the type of coil and operating mode required too.
