Pick Holder
In my ML 4500 days, I carried my pick on my shoulder, with the Z I carried it in a hammer holder on my belt. Nenad on another Forum suggested the item below to fit on the Z Harness. I used it for the first time today and initially had some teething problems finding the loop on my back (top of harness) after a learning curve I am quite happy with its use and will be the pick location for the future.
Pick from memory has a 70cm handle.

Third arm
All that is really needed to swing a GPZ 7000 successfully is to grow a third arm. That will give you an arm to support the detector, another for the 'cripple' stick and the third to hold the pick. Simple.

Re: Pick Holder
Have a friend who detects with the Z one arm, no cripple stick, no bungee and is in his mid 60's but his arms are about twice as thick as mine and worked outdoors all his life not like me as an IT desk jockey/manager.

Re: Pick Holder
I solved this years ago.
I have always used the Camelbak hydration pack instead of the Minelab harness and I put the pick between it and my back. It sits at the top of my back and when I want to use it I can push the handle up from the bottom and then grab it from above.
I initially used this method when I was carrying the full size garden pick before moving to a smaller pick.
Regards Axtyr.
