Re: New GPX-6000
Rumour is a tester in Vic found 28 pieces for .8gm?
WTF?🤯🤯🤯
Blows the SDC out of the water.
If this is true why buy a overpriced 7000?

That is great but no good for me as 0.02 grams is too hard for me to see

Re: New GPX-6000
Not sure of the price of the 6000 would be,let have a guess and say $7500.
By my reckoning that would be about 3,752 bit of gold at that size to cover the cost
cheers moredeep

Re: New GPX-6000
Fear not moredeep, for the GPX 6000 were destined to be a gold pan killer. now I realize what Minelab's really up to. They must have got a contract together with the mayors of all goldfield towns, in order to eradicate/clean out, any or all remaining bits of wire/boot tack/bunny load & bird shot.
and all for the price of (you guessed it) $7500 per vacuum cleaner.
Man that is clever
Cheers Kon.

Re: New GPX-6000
You may well be right there, the environmentalists will love us cleaning up all the lead shot out of the environment, that stuff is toxic and kills many birds, not just from being shot, but many die from lead poisoning from eating it too. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-34861602
On a typical gold prospecting day I probably pick up 30 to 50 lead shot here, more if I use a VLF. I always take them away and dump them in the bin.
Maybe Minelab contacted the Environmental agencies and said we can trick these silly gold prospecting people into paying 8 grand for the pleasure of cleaning the lead out of the areas they go. Let's make a detector as sensitive to surface lead shot as we possibly can with a coil big enough that we will keep them occupied for years scratching around cleaning up pellets in the pursuit of a tiny nugget worth 50 cents.
