Finally got my very own ferrari today  along with a good condition 1913 penny a courage bottle top a broken broach and a plain belt buckle.
All in all ,been having fun away from the 5000 but will get back into the gold chase soon.

I went back over a few of your photos tonight. Just to see, sigh. Anyway the 0.4g you posted on 26 May may be a worn crystalline nugget. Have you noticed a crystalline shape?

I'll have to have a dig through my tiddlers and have a look,they tend to all look the same after awhile .

Went for a 2 hour slog this arvo in a well and truly flogged spot,dug some crazy hotrocks, got nothing and decided to call it quits.
 As it has happened before a couple of metres from the car and bingo.
Made the beer taste better.

No yella stuff today but found a very nice 2 troy ounce weight.[Very honest gold dealer,Its weight was 1.98oz ]
Next target gave me a bit of a rush as it was right next to the weight,a lump of good looking LEAD!
The other item appears to be a silver coated shield .All in all a nice day in the scrub.
To all you in lock down; hang in there,the gold will still be there waiting for you  and

Deep hull good dig not bad find

Some close up au candy for you all in lockdown,small tiddlers from the last few weeks , 9.8 gms in total.
It's been a challenge detecting very noisy ground,wet reacting soils,dropped the rx and running audio in quiet just to cope.
A lot of good sounding signals had to be dug but only to disappear once at 4-6 inches depth crazy stuff  I shouldn't complain though.

I can't call myself young a silly anymore,went out in the full blast of winter today,let me say that it was invigorating 
Roaring winds,cold,wet, dark and muddy,took sometime to find this tiddler amongst the sloppy mud in my scoop.
It's hard to imagine how depressing it would have been for the digger stuck up in the hills in this weather in a dodgy old tent.
I guess plenty of rum some baccy and a mouth organ and hopefully a dog to talk to may have helped

A very good photo well done in these days.

Reminded me of a print my beautiful wife gave me some years ago,this poor soul probably suffered from gout due to the consumption of to much plonk
At least he had a dog to talk to

Gout is bloody painful! I cant begin to imagine how these people endured the ills, cold & harshness.

average age was something like 45 back in those days fwdoz,pressure was on to strike it rich so one could live in luxury to a ripe old age .
By the way fresh pineapple [not tinned or bottled ] is amazing for gout,google gout and pineapple.

Only 45 is no surprise given the harsh conditions. Wonder how many were also buried alive.

I had heard grapefruit was good, but never heard about pineapple. Only have it every now & then though.

I helped cure a big fella once,got him to alkalize his diet,consumed pineapple and liquid chlorophyll.[pineapple has enzyme that reduces inflammation]
Poor bloke could hardly move from gout,good as gold now last time I heard .
 research acid /alkaline forming foods if interestested.

I got so bad with gout, now on medication for it & not had any issue in 2 years. Did not help that I work in retail & do 8-16 km a day walking in store.

Have done a lot of hiking as well for several years. Glad that I have mobility back without pain.

As the saying goes we are what we eat,most dr's don't think outside the box.
They slap us pills,we spend money they get a bonus.
Anyway I'm off out into the wild blue yonders again,might need a pill when I get home

That sucks mate,I and a lot of people I talk to appreciate the pain that melbournians are going through.
We have family in lock down as well,haven't seen them in many months.
We have taken to sending surprise packages to them and the kids,lots of nice edible delicacies,just to try and help break the monotony.

We have been lucky here in NQ ( for now) it must be bloody hard having a gold itch ya can’t scratch stay safe down there

Things are crook in tallarook,hard going for the last couple of weeks,including an injured right thumb,boy that little digit is very important when it come to detecting and digging
Any how it's on the improve,just had to change my digging style to a scrapping style .
Some tiddlers to show from the last two days,also a crazy pocket of extremely hot mineralized pocket of clay,as you can see a very dark patch in the middle,jeez it sounded good .
Hopefully lock down will end soon for all the melbournites,chunky gold awaits you

Yesterdays outing,2 tiddlers, one was a speci in rock different from the usual quartz host.
Lump of very exciting lead [not  ] once again digging into some beautiful red clay,which looked like virgin soil.
You have to dig em,bung thumb and all,hard not to get excited though

Nice day out in the scrub,pinged a nice 1.2 gmer down 15 cm.
Very wet ground making digging a challenge near creek beds.
Found this other strange object,any thoughts to what it is?
I thought it might be a rope guide that is hammered into a rock face sort of like a rock climbing piton???? ,the area had no rock ledges or mine shafts.
