I do have an incentive to get out and find the odd tiddler,this is my kitchen table,every time I sit down for a cuppa or meal I reminded that this is what it's all about Laughing

When I get a bit older I'll have a go at it,that's if I can get down onto my knees and back up again What a Face

The grand kids love the gold in the table,I suppose when I've left this coil they'll have fond memories?

One of those roller coaster arvo's,pinged this nice little 1.4 gmer in virgin clay soil.Then about 7 meters away
got a beautiful wobbly warbling signal,dug down through some nice red sticky clay,then the pick hit some thing nice and solid.
The ol ticker got a bit excited and bingo a non retirement lump of rustic rust What a Face

Twas a nice arvo anyway,you gotta be in it to win it :cheers:get out there and enjoy it if you can.

About 3 meters from my rusty nugget I spotted an old scrape [I marked it out in the soil with a stick], as per usual I decided to give it a recheck.
Anyway got a nice signal below it,I think the previous person may have thought it was ground noise??
Their loss is my gain cheers

A bit of a hard slog today in central Vic,wet noisy/bouncy/ great signals/false signals/dig and it disappears signals, you get my drift.
But perseverance paid off ,beer tasted good afterwards.
And nice going anniel ,they must have thought it was rubbish,it puts a smile on ya dial cheers

Been fairly hard at since the lock down lifted,these cleaned up well in some albrite.
18.8 grams in total.
Back to it on Thursday before they lock the whole ruddy state down again Crying or Very sad

Cold,dank gloomy w/end just how I like it.
I still get a buzz out of finding these beautiful old coins,old diggers probably went without their bottle of port after losing these two coins Sad

Silver coin is a 1829 george iv shilling,very good condition,still has sharp serrations.
Some tiddlers to boot.

Well sharkbait,I got an absolute buzz today,got bored with the 5000 again and dug out the little minelab sovereign.
I'm not meaning to rub it in,but it's nearly the holy grail getting a cricket buckle,coin was an added bonus.
Trashy area was perfect for the little buzz box.
A gold sovereign is my holy grail ,I'll keep praying to the coin gods for one Laughing

Thanks kon,by the way the 1879 sixpence might be worth a couple of bucks,it has a die number 3 above the date.plus it's in good condition [packed in clay ]

Out again with the little buzz box,pinged a modern 1926 threepence Laughing

Then I got a little excited again when this round heavy thing plonked into my hand,is it the grail!!!?.
Alas a strange round copper thingy? weight for scale?,its weight is 24.4 gms.thought it might have been a welsh plug,but it was 15cm deep in the area of the 1829 coin.
No obvious marking apart from odd dent/dint.
