Detecting and wind turbines Empty Detecting and wind turbines

Hi all, sorry to start a whole new topic to ask one question but I thought some of you learned lot would know the answer to it.
Do wind turbines interfere with detectors, more specifically gold detectors?
I wasn't sure if they were like electric fences and high voltage power lines.
Thanks in advance
Cheers

I've read posts where Woody (detectormods) says they do and has had to move to other areas because of the interference.

Well I suspect they do ! A good while back in the hot weather I was a fair way east of a heap of newly built Wind Turbines between Glen Innes & Inverell ,and whilst the EMI worsened as it got hotter ,as to be expected ,a lot of that EMI seemed to be '' aoutomated '' for want of a better word ?? Totally unlike other EMI  I've heard ,I think at the time I put it down to the towers communicating either, to each other ,or there '' automated control monitor '' cause I vaguely remember reading some where once how some one in a office ,anywhere ,can monitor any particular tower in an instance ! Any way it was a suspicion at the time ,that all I could come up with . scratch

The short answer is no, the EMI is similar to any electrical grid.

From a Wind Farm you'd get EMI from:
Underground cabling which is usually 1.2m below ground;
Grid Interconnection with Powerline; and the
Substation

Ok, there you go. Thanks all for your responses.
There is one not too far away from me so if I'm travelling past with my detector I'll do some experimentation.
Cheers
